Accumulator

Accumulator

Product Overview

The accumulator is a buffer storage unit installed between upstream converting machines and downstream packaging machines on tissue production lines. It temporarily holds folded stacks, rolls or packs so that a short stoppage on one side does not immediately interrupt the other, smoothing material flow and helping the whole line run at a steadier average speed.

The unit uses a servo-driven storage lane or table arrangement that receives products from the infeed conveyor and releases them in sequence to the outfeed. Level sensors and a PLC interface coordinate accumulation and discharge with the connected machines, and the layout can be configured for the available floor space and product dimensions.

Accumulators are used in toilet paper, facial tissue, kitchen towel and napkin lines where rewinding, folding, cutting and packaging equipment operate at different instantaneous rates. Supply includes layout design matched to the customer's line, installation guidance, operator training, spare parts support and export packaging for shipment.
